Winter Tire Rebates 2026: Which Current Offers Cover Snow Tires

Most tire rebates don't say "winter" anywhere, so it's easy to assume they don't apply to snow tires. Some do, and a few name winter lines outright. Below, every current offer in our rebate list is sorted by what its official terms say about winter tires. Each note comes from the terms or from the brand's own product page, linked next to it.

Short answer, as of Oct 17, 2026: 3 current offers name winter lines, and 4 more cover any tire line from the brand without excluding winter tires. The soonest to close: Bridgestone (Oct 31, 2026), General Tire (Oct 31, 2026), Continental (Oct 31, 2026), Yokohama (Oct 31, 2026).

These terms don't list tire lines, so winter tires from the brand should count, but the terms don't say "winter" either. Confirm your exact tire with the store.

All-weather lines, but no dedicated winter tires

All-weather tires carry the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol but are meant for year-round use. Bridgestone's own winter guide says they can be a good option where snowfall is moderate, but not the best fit for regular winter storms and sub-zero temperatures (Bridgestone winter driving tips).

Current offers with no winter lines

• Cooper: The form lists ProControl, TractionCommand, Cobra Instinct and four Discoverer lines. None is a winter tire. (official terms)
• Kumho: The flyer lists Crugen GT Pro and Road Venture HT52, AT52 and RT. None is a winter tire. (official terms)
• Firestone: Firestone All Season and Pathway AS only. (official terms)

Store instant savings

Costco is running $80 off any set of four new Michelin passenger or light truck tires and $60 off any set of four new BFGoodrich tires, valid September 21 to October 18, 2026, taken at the register (Costco Michelin terms). The Michelin terms don't exclude winter lines, and Costco's Michelin page features the X-Ice Snow family. More on our Costco tire deals page.

Discount Tire's $80 Michelin instant savings is on "select sets". The lines it names are CrossClimate2, Defender 2, Defender LTX M/S2, e Primacy and Pilot Sport, and it doesn't say whether winter lines such as X-Ice Snow are included. See Discount Tire deals.

When to buy winter tires

• Fall, before the first storm. Consumer Reports says fall is the best time to buy, because that's when retailers tend to have the most winter-ready tires in stock, and availability can vary as winter goes on. It also suggests shopping for winter at 4/32 inch of tread rather than waiting for 2/32 (Consumer Reports).
• Mind the October deadlines. Several winter-eligible offers end October 31, 2026. Michelin's and BFGoodrich's run through November 30, and Continental Canada's through December 6.
• Mounting time. Michelin says its X-Ice Snow is designed for temperatures below 45°F (7°C), and recommends switching back to all-season or summer tires in warmer months.
• The invoice date is what counts for the purchase window. If you buy in October and have the tires mounted later, keep the dated, paid invoice.

What to watch for

• A set of four, in one purchase. Every offer above requires four tires. General's terms say the set must be bought in a single transaction.
• The store. Michelin's and BFGoodrich's national rebates exclude warehouse clubs, Discount Tire and Big O. Big 3 Tire and Tire Pros offers only work at their own participating locations.
• Special orders. Bridgestone excludes special orders and rain checks, and General says no rain checks. If your size isn't in stock, ask whether a special order still qualifies.
• Wheel packages. Michelin's terms say mounting, balancing, valve stems, taxes and checkout discounts don't count toward purchase amounts.
• Studded tires. Bridgestone notes that some local laws prohibit studded tires and points to AAA for state rules.
• Canada. Continental Canada's amounts are in Canadian dollars and paid as a prepaid Mastercard.

Do tire rebates cover winter tires?

Some do. As of Oct 17, 2026, Bridgestone's October offer lists its Blizzak winter line, General's $70 tier lists five Arctic winter lines, and Continental Canada's $100 (CAD) tier lists WinterContact and VikingContact lines. Michelin's and BFGoodrich's fall offers cover any four new passenger or light truck tires from the brand.

Which winter-tire rebates end first?
