Costco Tire Deals: How the Promotions and Installation Package Work
By Dave. Last updated Oct 17, 2026. Program details were checked against the official pages linked below on Oct 17, 2026.
Costco sells tires through its warehouse tire centers and its tire site. Its tire deals work differently from the manufacturer rebates in our rebate table: they're usually instant savings taken at the register, and the big manufacturer mail-in rebates often exclude warehouse clubs. Here's what Costco's own pages say, and what we could and couldn't confirm.
Current Costco tire offers
These were on Costco's tire site on Oct 17, 2026:
- Michelin: $80 instant savings on any set of four new Michelin passenger or light truck tires, valid September 21 to October 18, 2026. Limit three per household. Original equipment tires don't qualify (Costco Michelin terms).
- BFGoodrich: $60 instant savings on any set of four new BFGoodrich tires, valid September 21 to October 18, 2026 (Costco tire site).
Both say the savings are taken at the time of purchase, not all sizes are available, and the offer is only at Costco locations with a tire center.
How Costco's tire promotions work
- Instant, not mail-in. The Michelin terms say instant savings are taken at the time of purchase and are reflected in prices advertised in the club and at the register.
- Brand-funded. The current offers carry Michelin and BFGoodrich terms. Costco's Michelin page says any additional member savings it advertises are independent of the manufacturer's offer.
- Limits. Michelin's Costco offer is limited to three per household, excludes original equipment tires, and isn't valid on warranty transactions.
Does it stack with manufacturer rebates?
For the two current brands, no:
- Michelin's national fall 2026 rebate excludes warehouse clubs and names Costco, Sam's Club and BJ's as examples. It says those stores may have their own store-specific promotion instead (Michelin fall terms). BFGoodrich's fall promotion has the same exclusion (BFGoodrich fall terms).
- Costco's Michelin terms say the offer can't be combined or stacked with any other Michelin offer, and can't be used with certificates, promotions, special offers, gift cards "or any offer whatsoever".
For other brands, many rebates require a "participating" or "authorized" dealer. Those terms don't say whether Costco counts, so ask the tire center before you rely on a mail-in rebate.
What the installation package includes
From Costco's tire site (The Costco Advantage, tire site home):
- Installation at no charge on tires bought from a Costco tire center. Installation is only available to Costco members on tires bought there.
- Lifetime maintenance for the life of the tires (Costco says some limits may apply): inflation pressure checks, balancing, rotations and flat repairs.
- New rubber valve stems. TPMS valve stems and accessories cost extra, and Costco says TPMS service pack fees may apply.
- Nitrogen inflation.
- Costco's road hazard warranty, which the tire site describes as five years.
- Published prices include shipping and handling.
Costco's pages don't put a dollar figure on any TPMS fees, so ask for an out-the-door quote.
When Costco's tire promotions run
Costco doesn't publish a promotion calendar. To see what has run before, we read archived copies of Costco's tire site. Most copies from 2025 and 2026 didn't include readable offer text, so this is a small sample, not a schedule:
- Oct 14, 2025: $80 off any set of 4 new Michelin tires and $60 off any set of 4 new BFGoodrich tires, both valid 9/22/25 to 10/19/25
- Jan 1, 2026: $80 off Michelin and $60 off BFGoodrich sets, both valid 12/22/25 to 1/25/26, plus one-day (January 1, 2026) offers of $80 off a set of 4 Bridgestone tires and $60 off a set of 4 Firestone tires
- Oct 17, 2026 (live site): $80 off Michelin and $60 off BFGoodrich, valid 9/21/26 to 10/18/26
What this shows: in the copies we could read, Michelin and BFGoodrich offers ran for about four to five weeks at a time, and the fall window was almost the same in 2025 and 2026 (late September to mid-October). We can't say what ran in the months we couldn't read.
How to compare a Costco price
- Get the out-the-door price for the exact size, including any TPMS fees and tax.
- Compare it with a participating dealer's price minus the manufacturer rebate you'd get there, such as Michelin's $80 fall rebate.
- Count the extras you'd otherwise pay for, like rotations and road hazard coverage, only if you'd actually use them.

Common questions
Does Costco charge for tire installation?
Costco's tire site says tire purchases include installation at no charge, along with rotations, balancing, inflation checks, flat repairs, nitrogen inflation and a road hazard warranty. TPMS valve stems, accessories and service pack fees may cost extra.
Can I use Michelin's mail-in rebate on tires bought at Costco?
No. Michelin's fall 2026 terms exclude warehouse clubs and name Costco. Costco runs its own Michelin instant savings, which can't be combined with other Michelin offers.
Do I need a Costco membership to buy tires there?
Costco's tire site says installation is only available on tires purchased from a Costco tire center by Costco members.
When does Costco run tire deals?
Costco doesn't publish a calendar. In the archived copies we could read, Michelin and BFGoodrich instant savings ran for four to five weeks at a time, including late September to mid-October in both 2025 and 2026.
